Jail & Bail Charity Event on Court Square

The Jail & Bail Charity Event will be taking place on the Court Square tomorrow, June 28th!  This event will be raising money for the Miracle League of Western Kentucky!  Over the past few weeks several “Warrants” have been purchased for the arrest of local community members.  They will be behind bars on the court house lawn starting at 9am tomorrow morning and remain there until their Bail has been met!  According to Marshall County Parks Director Britney Heath, we have 40 members of the Community that will be behind bars needing your help to be set free tomorrow.  It is so amazing to live in a county with so many community members willing to step up and volunteer their time to help out such a wonderful cause!

Now, here is where those not behind bars can help.  You will have several ways to donate tomorrow.  You can put money toward someones bail, which they will be working very hard to get out by calling people, talking on the radio, begging on Facebook Live Videos, and asking people walking around the square!  There will be a special number that you can call tomorrow to donate over the phone or you can come to the square and donate in person!  They also have a limited number of Miracle League of Western Kentucky shirts and bracelets that will be for sale.

If you are hungry you can head up to the square and purchase some amazing food from Chick’nCone of West Kentucky or Lunchbox on Wheels.  At the end of the day, both will be giving a portion of their sales to Miracle League!

Be sure to listen to WCBL and keep and eye on Facebook because the “Jailbirds” will be asking for donations for their bail tomorrow beginning around 9am.
