There have been many inquiries about the presence of deputies at Lakeland Resort in Aurora yesterday, Friday, June 21st.
Sheriff Eddie McGuire submitted the following statement today: Shortly after 2pm yesterday, Marshall County Deputies responded to Lakeland Resort in reference to a female with a gun shot wound. Detectives were called to the scene shortly thereafter. No arrests have been made at this time, and no further information is available due to the ongoing investigation.
Update: The young lady has passed away from the gun shot wound. No further details are available at this time due to the ongoing investigation. We will have more information as it becomes available.
