Marshall County KY Sheriff’s Office Weekly Report

The following arrests were made by the Marshall County Sheriff’s Office

On 05-09-2019, deputies were dispatched to a vehicle collision. Deputy Maxlow identified one of the operators as Mr. Conner Morgan. On a check of Conner’s license, it was discovered he had an arrest warrant out of Livingston County. Through further investigation, Conner was also charged with the following: DUI 1st offense, operating on suspended or revoked operator license, possessing license when privileges are revoked, failure to produce insurance card, failure of owner to maintain required insurance/second offense, possession of marijuana, & drug paraphernalia.

On 05-10-2019, Capt. Lane was dispatched to Lovvo Ln. in reference to a stolen vehicle. The victim, Mr. Brown stated he thought his girlfriend’s daughter, Heather Groves, may have left with it while they were sleeping. He advised that she had taken it without permission a couple of nights before. While Capt. Lane was gathering information from Brown, a suspicious vehicle/person call was dispatched to Deputy Rudd. The description given matched the vehicle in question. Deputy Rudd arrived at the scene and verified it was the vehicle in question and Groves was sitting in the drivers seat. After further investigation, Capt. Lane arrested and charged Groves with theft by unlawful taking or disp-auto $500 or more but u/$10,000.

On 05-11-2019, Deputy Greenfield was patrolling the area of U.S. Hwy 641 N. He observed a vehicle crossing the center line and fog line and conducted a traffic stop. Upon contact with the operator Mr. Charles Sullivan, Deputy Greenfield could smell the odor of alcohol. After further investigation, Mr. Sullivan was arrested and charged with DUI 1st offense and possession of open alcohol beverage container in a motor vehicle.

On 05-13-2019, Deputy Z. Johnson was contacted by a detective in regards to a suspicious vehicle he had observed at a residence. A vehicle description was given and Deputy Johnson was able to locate the vehicle. A traffic stop was conducted where contact was made with the operator, Mr. John Smith. As a result of the investigation Smith was found to be in possession of a white crystal substance that field tested positive for methamphetamine. Smith was arrested and charged with rear license not illuminated, no brake lights, possession of controlled substance 1st degree 1st offense (methamphetamine) and drug paraphernalia.

On 05-14-2019 drug detectives from the Marshall County Sheriff’s office executed a search warrant on Star Walk Ln in Marshall County. While executing the search warrant, numerous items consistent with trafficking illegal drugs were located and seized. As a result of the investigation, Mr. Mitchell Styers was arrested and charged with the following: Trafficking in controlled substance, 1st degree, 1st offense ( > or = 2 GMS methamphetamine), trafficking in controlled substance, 1st degree, 1st offense, ( > or = 10 D.U. opiates), possession of marijuana, drug paraphernalia, and possession of controlled substance, 3rd degree drug unspecified. Graves County Sheriff’s Office drug detectives also assisted on scene.
