Preston Cope Classic Saturday at MCHS

Marshall County Baseball will host the Preston Cope Classic Saturday, an event that is in its 14th year and formerly known as the Dreammaker Classic. The event gives the players an opportunity to give back to the community by volunteering their talents on and off the field. All proceeds over the 14 years have gone to a designated charity, this year will be the Preston Cope Scholarship Fund.

Three games will be played Saturday in the Preston Cope Classic:
1:00 Crittenden County vs. Carlisle County
3:00 Mayfield vs. Carlisle County
5:00 Marshall County vs. Graves County

Marshall County Baseball said, “We are very excited to host this event each year. We are fortunate to have Evonik help us sponsor this event and raise funds for the Preston Cope Scholarship Fund. This gives our players an opportunity to provide monetary help for a charity while also allowing them to see the importance of community service. It has turned into such a great day of baseball and fun. We hope to have a big crowd to see some great baseball teams and raise money for the Preston Cope Scholarship Fund.”
