Marshall County KY Sheriff’s Office Weekly Report

On 03-28-2019 Deputy Greenfield observed Mr. Michael Cary operating a vehicle on Main Street. Deputy Greenfield knew Cary to have a suspended license and conducted a traffic stop. As result of the investigation Mr. Cary was arrested and charged with driving on DUI suspended license, and DUI.

On 03-28-2019 Deputy Greenfield conducted a traffic stop on Ms. Dianna Wilson for expired registration. As a result of the investigation Wilson was charged and arrested for expired registration, failure to maintain insurance, and DUI 4th offence.

On 03-29-2019 Deputy R. Johnson served a Caldwell County bench warrant on Mr. Kevin Roberts.

On 03-29-2019 Deputy R. Johnson received a call from dispatch in reference to driving complaint of a vehicle all over the roadway. Deputy Johnson located the vehicle and observed other traffic violations. A traffic stop was conducted where he made contact with Ms. Catherine Scialabba. As a result of the investigation Scialabba was arrested and charged with DUI 1st and open alcohol container.

On 03-29-2019 Deputy R. Johnson made contact with Mr. Derrick Newton at the Benton Park in the area of the football field. Newton had gotten his vehicle stuck. After further contact and investigation Newton was arrested and charged with DUI 1st offence.

On 03-29-2019 Deputy Z. Johnson Served a Marshall County arrest warrant on Ms. Rebecca Cole.

On 03-29-2019 Deputy R. Johnson observed a grey passenger car that did not have properly working brake lights. A traffic stop was conducted where he made contact with Mr. Justin Freeman. As a result of this traffic stop, Mr. Freeman was arrested and charged with no brake lights, DUI 1st offense, tampering with physical evidence, and possession of marijuana.

On 03-30-2019 Deputy Peck served a Marshall County bench warrant on Mr. Kevin Eaves.

Deputy Peck also served a Marshall County indictment warrant on Mr. Robert Vance.

Deputy Peck served a Calloway County bench warrant on Mr. Matthew Duncan

On 03-31-2019 Deputy Z. Johnson served a Calloway County bench warrant on Mr. Kerry Henson.

On 04-01-2019 Deputy Rowley served a Marshall County warrant and a Marshall County summons on Mr. Charles Wallace.

On 04-02-2019 Deputy Oakley was called to assist probation and parole at a home outside of Benton. As a result of the investigation, Mr. Roy Marchand was arrested and charged with possession of controlled substance 2nd degree, prescription controlled substance, not in proper container, drug paraphernalia, and possession of marijuana, and illegal possession of legend drug.

On -4-02-2019 Deputy Peck served a Marshall County bench warrant on Ms. Justice Cordova.

Deputy Peck also served a Marshall County arrest warrant on Mr. Brain Ferryman.

Sgt. Curtner served a McCracken County bench warrant on Mr. Jason Blair.

On 04-03-2019 Deputy Oakley served three Marshall County bench warrants on Ms. Tara Brown. The warrants were for shoplifting, receiving stolen property, and DUI.

On 04-03-2019 Deputy Maxlow served a fugitive from another state warrant on a Mr. Jackie Moberly. The FL warrant was in reference to a drug charge.

Deputy Maxlow also served two Calloway County warrants on Mr. Corey Henson. The warrants charged him with tampering with physical evidence, possession of controlled substance 1st degree, 2nd offense (methamphetamine), drug paraphernalia, bail jumping 1st degree, and shoplifting.

On 04-03-2019 Sgt. Curtner served a Marshall County bench warrant on Mr. Harold Compton. Charges were as follows, no insurance, giving an officer a false name, failure to surrender revoked operators license, operating on a suspended or revoked license, fleeing or evading police 1st degree on foot, resisting arrest, possession of controlled substance 1st degree, 2nd offense (methamphetamine), drug paraphernalia, no registration.

On 04-04-2019 Sgt. Curtner served a Carroll County bench warrant on Mr. James Booker. The charges were fleeing or evading police, 1st degree on foot, wanton endangerment 1st degree (2 counts), criminal mischief 1st degree, and DUI.

On 04-04-2019 Deputy Greenfield was dispatched to a single car collision at the I-69 & I-24 interchange. Contact was made with the operator Angel Vieyra. As a result of the investigation, Vieyra was arrested and charged with DUI 1st offense, and possession of open alcoholic beverage container.

On 04-04-2019, Detective Cash began an investigation on multiple reports of suspicious activity and heavy traffic in the parking lot of Bethel Baptist Church. Detective Cash had already been given information on a vehicle in question and observed this vehicle on the church property with another vehicle. As a result of the investigation, Mr. John Hostetler and Ms. Jacinda Campbell were both arrested and charged with trafficking in a controlled substance, 1st degree, 1st offense. Ms. Campbell was further charged with giving officer false identifying information and tampering with physical evidence. Once Campbell’s true identity was known, she was also wanted on several warrants. 4 warrants were from McCracken County charges were trafficking in controlled substance 1st degree 1st offence (< 2 GMS methamphetamine), fleeing or evading police, 2nd degree (motor vehicle), burglary 3rd degree, theft of identity of another, theft of services, public intoxication, & possession of alcoholic beverage container in motor vehicle. Marshall County warrants with charges of fleeing or evading police 2nd degree (on foot), drug paraphernalia, & contempt of court. Campbell was also served with a parole warrant in reference to absconding parole supervision & failure to complete treatment for substance abuse. Detective Cash was assisted by Deputy Ivey and Capt. Lane.

On 4/6/2019 Fatal Motorcycle crash claims the life of Hickory, KY resident.

Deputies from the Marshall County Sheriff’s Office were dispatched, shortly after 5 pm, to the 5100 block of KY348 (Symsonia Highway) in reference to a single vehicle motorcycle accident.
Robert Aaron Lee, 31, of Hickory, KY, was westbound on KY 348 when he lost control of his 2007 Harley Davidson motorcycle leaving the roadway on the right shoulder.

Lee was transported to Marshall County Hospital where he was pronounced deceased. The cause of the collision is under investigation. The Sheriff’s Office was assisted by the West Marshall Fire Department and Marshall County EMS.

On 04-05-2019 Deputy Greenfield conducted a traffic stop on U.S. Hwy 68 E. As a result of the traffic stop Tyler Smith was charged and arrested for DUI 1st offense, possession of controlled substance 1st degree, 1st offense (methamphetamine), drug paraphernalia, prescription controlled substance not in proper container and illegal possession of a legend drug.

On 04-06-2019 Deputy Greenfield observed a suspicious vehicle pull into an address on Tubbs Road. Deputy Greenfield made contact with the property owner who wanted the vehicle checked out due to reports of drug trafficking in this area. Deputy Greenfield made contact with the operator, Mr. Thomas Fike. As a result of the investigation, Fike was charged and arrested with DUI 1st offense, possession of controlled substance 1st degree, 1st offense and drug paraphernalia.

On 04-07-2019 Deputy Anderson conducted a traffic stop on Ms. Franchesica Pierce. As a result of the investigation, Pierce was charged and arrested for no registration, failure of non-owner to maintain required insurance, driving DUI suspended, and giving officer false identifying information.
