I don’t know about everyone else, but I have been on the edge of my seat following Carson’s Adventure through the Auditions for American Idol! Carson’s Mom, Krystal, has done an AMAZING job posting and sending me updates (as she could) to update the entire community! Below is her first entry into the Hollywood Part of Carson’s Adventure!

“Idol journey Part 4:
October 2018. Ticket it hand …On to HOLLYWOOD! We had taken 24 people with us to Louisville, which now meant we had 24 people who were sworn to absolute secrecy and not allowed to tell
Carson’s outcome of that shiney gold ticket. And did I mention most of them were teenagers ? Most of these kiddos didn’t even tell their own parents the true outcome. I cannot begin to even describe the excitement and support of every one of them though.
American Idol filmed so much that day of our group which sadly didn’t make the final cut for tv, but they represented the small town Marshall County life well. They were so encouraging to other contestants that maybe didn’t have any family to bring, or even a sympathy hug to the ones who didn’t get a yes that day. I was totally impressed by their support to all. Our whole group made me emotional many times this day and it was a VERY long day. After we finally did tons of press and filming, paperwork and planning for the next trip to Hollywood, we left at about 11:00 pm. We had been in that area since 5 am. Our caravan headed back to Marshall County.
When they told us they would be flying Carson and his 1 parent to California, of course I took on this position. The best part was the date. How would we be able to hide this? Our family had planned a cruise for the week before Christmas months before he even decided to try out. So when they told me Hollywood week was planned for December, I panicked a tad, thinking I am not missing this cruise but how can we not go to California. Well, it worked out perfectly to be the week before. So we made a decision to just sneak out a few days earlier than the cruise. We turned off all our location stuff on our phones and lied to many. I threatened Carson on his Snapchat pictures to be very vague and no details of where we were. American Idol flew us out there, we did Hollywood, and they flew us to
Florida to meet the gang in time for our Cruise! Plan accomplished. Sorry to those who I blatantly lied to. It was all worth it. I’ll finish the Hollywood journey soon. Here’s a few pics of us getting to Hollywood week.”
