Lady Marshals pick up wins over Murray, Calloway and Livingston

In the Lady Marshals last three regular season games against Livingston Central, Calloway County and Murray, Clara Bradley led the team in aces with a total of 21 and 61 assists.

In their final home game Monday, the Lady Marshals defeated Livingston Central 3-0 (25-20, 25-14, 25-6) to improved to 12-12. They will wrap up the regular season Friday and Saturday at the Western Kentucky Smack Down at Christian County.

Against Livingston Central, Halle Langhi had 12 kills, Clara Bradley led in aces with nine and Natalie Boward had eight. Bradley had 13 assists followed by Peyton Gresham with six and Jessica Hicks and Emily Colley had seven digs each and McKenzie Elkins five.

In two games last week, the Lady Marshals beat Murray 3-0 (25-14, 25-14, 25-17) on Monday and followed that up on Thursday with a 3-2 win over Calloway County (25-20, 23-25, 21-25, 25-14, 15-7)

Against Murray, Langhi had 13 kills, Abby Morris eight, Bradley six and Hicks five. As a team, the Lady Marshals had 15 aces, led by Bradley with five and Langhi four. Elkins led in digs with 13 and Hicks came up with 10. Bradley led in assists with 18 and Langhi followed with 10.

In the win over Calloway County, 53 kills were recorded by Langhi with 20, Bradley 11, Hicks 11, Morris five, Alyssa McClain three and Abigail Joiner three. Bradley and Hicks each had seven aces. Hicks picked up 17 digs, Elkins had 14, Boward 11 and Bradley eight. Bradley led in assists with 29 and Langhi had 16.

The team played over the weekend in the Quad State Tournament at the Plex in Paducah. The Lady Marshals lost three matches to Owensboro Catholic 2-0 (25-8, 25-3), Paducah Tilghamn 2-0 (25-22, 25-11) and Warren East 2-1 (25-18, 23-25, 20-18). McCracken County won six matches in the tournament and won the championship game 2-0 over Hazel Green, AL.
