Preliminary investigation shows Jack R. Clark Jr, 54 of Benton, Ky. was traveling west on KY 348 operating a Kawasaki Motorcycle. Robin M Caruso, 39 of Benton, KY was operating a Dodge Magnum traveling west bound on KY 348 and had stopped to turn left onto Cone Road. For an unknown reason Mr. Clark failed to stop and ran into the stopped car, after striking the rear end of the car, Mr. Clark, and his motorcycle crossed into the east bound lane and was struck by a Chevrolet Tahoe, being operated by Todd A. Whitis, 43 of Mayfield, KY. Who was travelling east bound on KY 348. Clark was not wearing a helmet at the time of the collision. Clark was pronounced deceased on the scene by the Marshall County Coroner.
