MURRAY, Ky. — The College of Education and Human Services at Murray State University is launching a new set of degree and certificate programs this fall. The initiative, titled the Executive Educator Series, includes program options for education professionals seeking to elevate their credentials and their careers.

Current options in the Executive Educator Series include the following:

Master’s degree in teacher leader
Master’s degree in education administration (principal preparation program)
Superintendent certificate program
Director of people personnel certificate program
Specialist in education degree in education administration

This series is tailored toward working professionals, meaning that each program offers a mixture of hybrid and web-advanced, distance-learning options for convenient course delivery. In addition to the variety of programs available, this series allows participants to choose specialty areas that interest them most, including specific grade levels and content areas. Furthermore, flexible electives allow participants’ past experiences to work for them.

“Teachers and administrators in public schools have never been busier than they are now,” said Dr. Robert Lyons, assistant dean for the College of Education and Human Services. “For this reason, the Executive Educator Series has been designed to provide high-leverage graduate coursework in a format that is flexible and streamlined for the busy professional.”

Online cohorts are scheduled to begin during the fall 2018 semester. Those interested can also take advantage of the University’s lowered in-state, graduate tuition rate of $375 per credit hour. Applications are now being accepted.
