Cub Scout Pack to have Flag Retirement at CFSB on June 14

Cub Scout Pack 2059 will host a flag retirement ceremony on June 14th in the Ash Street parking lot of CFSB’s Benton Banking Center. The event is designed to provide a public dignified disposal of flags deemed unfit to continue flying as a representative of the United States of America. The service will teach young scouts the proper way to handle the symbol of our nation. Pack 2059 will also provide the public with an opportunity to purchase flags flown over the US Capitol. The flags, $40.00 each, will have a certificate of authenticity. Each available flag will be 3 x 5 and are available in both nylon or cotton.

The ceremonies will begin at 3pm and again on the hour, every hour through 6pm. For more information, contact Michael Knight at (270) 527-4644.
