The local Kentucky-Barkley Lakes Board of Realtors has helped collect a total of $11,321 for the Marshall Strong benefit for the victims and families of the January school shooting.

At a recent Legislative meeting of the Kentucky Realtors Association in Lexington, local board president Leslie Gray was asked to comment about the incident and how other real estate boards in Kentucky could help. A spontaneous collection resulted in the state KYR association donating $500 and other real estate boards were challenged to match the donation. To date, 13 real estate boards across Kentucky have donated $8,411 to the Marshall Strong benefit for the victims and families.

Additionally, the local Kentucky- Barkley Board of Realtors held an auction of donated items at their membership meeting and collected an additional $2,910 for the benefit, for a total of $11,321.
