George Milam has had a huge impact on music and the arts in Marshall County. In August, Milam was honored by the 1st District Music Educators as our Friend of Music for all of his efforts in promoting music education. Each of the 12 district winners is nominated for the state award. George was selected as the winner of the state Friend of Music award. He was honored at a ceremony with other award winners at the annual KMEA conference in Louisville on Friday.
