MCEC thanks community for its support in fundraising efforts

Dear Editor,

It is with great excitement that I announce that the Marshall County Exceptional Center’s annual “Exceptional Sunday” Open House, hosted on Oct. 15, 2017, raised approximately $81,000. Prior to the event, MCEC brought in an amazing $34,000 in donations, while at the event approximately $47,000 was donated. The Board of Directors, Staff and Individuals would like to express our gratitude to every donor who provided for such an amazing total. We would like to thank Danny Ham for providing his auctioneering services and WCBL for covering our evening live each year, their time and efforts are truly a gift. Likewise we would like to thank Keith Johnson, the Liberty Boys, and Servant’s Heart Quartet for providing the amazing gospel music, we so appreciate them for sharing their musical talents with us each year.

We also would like to express our heartfelt gratitude to the Marshall County Elks Lodge No. 2707 for their tremendous donation of $35,000. The Elks are such a pivotal asset to our organization and we cannot thank them enough for the many years of hard work and support to our individuals and agency. We are truly blessed each and every year by the wonderful people with the Elks Lodge. Their dedication and compassion for MCEC is unsurpassed.

Once again, we thank everyone who helped to make MCEC’s “Exceptional Sunday” Open House truly exceptional.
