Howell, Nimmo lead golf teams in wins over Graves County

Thursday at Kentucky Dam Village State Resort Park Golf Course, the girls and boys teams posted wins over Graves County. Led by medalist Savannah Howell with a 2-under par 34, the Lady Marshals beat the Lady Eagles 151 to 164. Behind Howells’s 34, Hallie Riley posted a 36, Kennadi Spraggs 38, Kenley Luksic 43 and Megan Hertter 45.

Jay Nimmo’s 2-under 34 at Kentucky Dam led the Marshals in their match win over Graves County.

Graves County was led by Nicole Taylor with 38, Ellie West shot 40, Laney Shoulta 41, Madison Myers 45 and Neely Shoulta 49. Also playing in Thursday’s match, five players posted individual scores from Marshall County, Sydney Phillips 44, Katie Stokes 49 and Leah Vincek 58. For Graves County, Sarah Lyell shot 46 and Macy Rodgers 61.

Jay Nimmo’s 2-under 34 led the Marshals in their 160 to 171 win over the Eagles. Also scoring for the Marshals, Tyler Powell shot 39, Grant Hackney 42 and Camdyn McLeod and Nathan Clark both shot 45. The Eagles were led by Alex Jackson with 40, Chase Carrico shot 42, Josh Roy 44, Kobe Allen 45 and Taylor Cope 52.

The Marshall “Orange” team posted a score of 212 from Drake Butler with 46, Teddy Wynn 54 and 56’s from both Nick Dowdy and Ben Staples.

Both the girls and boys teams will play Saturday in the Paducah Invitational Tournament at Paxton Park Golf Course in a shotgun start at 8:00 am.
