Green Turtle Bay opens ‘The Thirsty Turtle’

Green Turtle Bay Marina & Resort, on lake Barkley in Grand Rivers has announced the grand opening of the lakes area next happening place, “The Thirsty Turtle.”

The Thirsty Turtle will kickoff the summer with a grand opening on July 1. Live outdoor entertainment will be provided by Eric Stone starting at 3:30 p.m. His music has been described as Nautical Americana.

Everything I do, Eric said, “revolves around sailing.”

Stone is a true WaterWayofLife entertainer that is a must see. Live outdoor entertainment is schedule for most weekends during the summer with 37° North on July 2 and Alonzo Pennington July 3 for the holiday weekend, both beginning at 3:30 p.m.

Upon entering, guests are engulfed in a Lake Lifeatmosphere thats both relaxing and exciting. The boathouse feel of the interior of the Thirsty Turtle provides the perfect setting for dining or enjoying a refreshing beverage. The menu at The Thirsty Turtle features artisan style pizzas, gourmet grilled cheese sandwiches, wings and finger food baskets to please any palette. The fully stocked bar offers a variety of beers, wines and traditional as well as specialty island inspired mixed drinks. The Thirsty Turtle has both a family friendly cafe and a separate bar dining area.

The Thirsty Turtle will initially be open from Friday Sunday, as well as summer holidays from noon to 9 p.m. with extended hours to be announced as the boating season progresses.
