Lampley indicted on two charges, four dismissed

Dalton Lampley of Calvert City has been indicted by a McCracken County grand jury on two charges of felony assault. Four charges of 1st degree assault were dismissed after no probable cause was found.

The charges stem from a March 17th incident when Lampley drove a garbage truck from his then employer WastePath in the wrong direction down portions of I-24 and US 62 in McCracken and Marshall counties.

The incident caused multiple crashes and injuries to area residents.

Additionally, Lampley will face two charges, fleeing or evading, and reckless driving, according to the McCracken County Circuit Court Clerk’s Office, which will be bound over to a grand jury on June 8.

Additional charges are pending in Marshall County Circuit Court.
