"Prayerful people are Spirit filled people." - Paul Wingfield I've been thinking about this quote from yesterday's sermon a lot. Spirit filled people are radiant with the gifts of the Spirit. Love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness & self-control. Spirit filled people may be concerned about what's going on in this world but they aren't in a panic over it because they know that it matters but not a lot in the big picture. Spirit filled people are rebels, misfits & warriors. They won't preach a doctrine of politics, whether it be church or nation. Spirit filled people won't add to the chaos or camouflage evil. They will encourage you to love God & love others because they know that love is eternal. They will encourage you to pursue & practice peace because they also want you to be a child of God. And they will encourage you to pray because they know that prayer has the power to change your life, your future and your destiny. So, be concerned but don't lose your witness. Be proactive but don't be a jerk. Be at peace. The world is watching how we will respond so respond like a Spirit filled child of God should. Pray.
