The National Weather Service in Paducah has issued a flash flood watch for the region until late Thursday night.
Locally heavy rain amounts of over two inches may occur in some locations of western Kentucky, Storms will be capable of intense locally heavy downpours into Thursday evening.
If a flash flood warning is issued for your area, seek higher ground and move away from flood prone areas immediately. Otherwise you will likely put your life in danger. Never cross a flooded roadway.
Monitor later forecasts and be prepared to take action should flash flood warnings be issued.
