NWS warns of severe weather over holiday weekend

The National Weather Service office in Paducah says there may be some potential for severe weather on Sunday and Monday in the afternoon and evening.

This is highly dependent on a warm front moving into the area, and significant heating along and south of it. At this time, the front is anticipated to move into the southern half of the region by Sunday afternoon. Another potential round of strong to severe thunderstorms may develop Monday afternoon and evening, as it moves eastward through the region.
