McCracken County Sheriff’s deputies say 67-year-old John Jones, from Benton, Kentucky, was driving east in I-24 at 7:50 Wednesday night when he began to swerve side to side and then overturned his car.
Deputies say I-24 was reduced to one lane traffic for nearly an hour while Mercy Ambulance took Jones to Baptist Health Paducah.
Deputies say he sustained incapacitating injuries.
Deputies cited Jones at the hospital for DUI, failure to maintain insurance and possession of drug paraphernalia.
