The National Weather Service office in Paducah has issued a hazardous weather outlook for a slight chance of scattered but strong thunderstorms today and into the Memorial Day weekend.
Although no widespread severe weather is anticipated, a few strong storms could occur. Localized heavy rainfall is also a concern.
Almost daily chances for thunderstorms are forecast for all or part of the area through early next week. Heavy rain and lightning are the primary hazards, but an occasional strong or severe storm cannot be ruled out.
