A man accused of shooting another man in the head and dumping the body near an abandoned home in Possum Trot entered a not guilty plea in Marshall County court Tuesday.
Joseph Cunningham was arraigned in Marshall County Circuit Court Tuesday on charges of murder, first degree robbery, convicted felon in possession of a firearm, and tampering with physical evidence. He’s accused of killing 47-year-old Gary Lambert, who died of a gunshot wound to the head and whose body was found in March.
He faces charges in three counties. Detectives say Cunningham admitted to killing Lambert but in self defense.
His next court hearing is August 9.
