Storms and flooding still in the forecast for today

The National Storm Prediction Center continues to see a marginal to slight risk for severe weather in the region today.

Scattered to numerous thunderstorms are expected, with a few isolated severe storms with large hail and damaging wind gusts could be included, and localized heavy rainfall could bring on some flooding issues.

Many areas of western Kentucky have already received three to five inches of rain from previous storms since Monday night. A few area roads were already becoming covered in water, and more could be involved with the additional rain.

A small chance of non-severe storms is forecast for Friday night, then rain is not expected to return until after the weekend.
