Milling & Paving along Purchase Pkwy in GRAVES & MARSHALL Counties starting NEXT WEEK

A contractor for the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet plans milling and paving along
a section of the Purchase Parkway in Graves and Marshall Counties starting NEXT
WEEK.

Milling and paving along the Julian Carroll-Purchase Parkway is expected to start on
Monday, May 2, 2016, or as soon as weather permits at the following locations:

* From near the KY 121 Overpass at mile piont 22.5 in Graves County
extending northward to mile point 24.6 near the US 45 Overpass

* From the 26 mile marker near the Mayfield Creek Overflow Bridge extending
northward to mile point 38.30 near the Gibson Creek Bridge in Marshall County

As part of this work the ramps at Exit 24 and Exi 25 will be closed for 2 to 3 hours
to facilitate the paving process.

Milling and paving along these sections of the Purchase Parkway is expected to take
2 to 3 weeks to complete, weather permitting.

Appropriate caution is required where equipment, flaggers, and maintenance personnel
are along the roadway in close proximity to traffic flow.

This is part of general upgrades to the Purchase Parkway between Calvert City and
Mayfield to prepare for extending Interstate 69 in the future.

Hall Contracting of Kentucky is the prime contractor on this $9.2 million project.
