Voter registration deadline today in Kentucky

Today is the deadline to register to vote, for Kentucky’s May Primary.

A number of offices are at stake in November, including President, all Congressional and State House seats, and half the state Senate. Secretary of State Alison Lundergan Grimes says the best way to get registered is on the website her office established about a month ago.

18,000 people have registered for the first time or updated their registration, since the website went live. Among them over one thousand 18-year-olds.

Speaking of young people, 17-year-olds can vote in the primary, as long as their 18th birthday is by the November general election.
