Shoplifting put a Tennessee man behind bars in Marshall County
The Marshall County Sheriff’s Department said an alleged thief was seen running away from CFSB towards the Benton Post Office on W. 5th Street on Tuesday afternoon.
When ordered to stop by authorities, the man jumped into the bushes in front of the post office.
Deputies found and detained 53-year-old Jeffrey L. Mobley of Springville, Tenn.
He was eventually arrested by Benton Police for shoplifting.
The Marshall County Sheriff’s Department has also charged Mobley with fleeing or evading police.
