WKRECC customers reporting outages

West Kentucky Rural Electric Cooperative Corporation says crews are working to restore service to about 2,100 members without power due to damage from the storm system that crossed the service area Wednesday afternoon and will require several hours to complete.

“We apologize for the inconvenience of an outage during the Christmas season,” said WKRECC President & CEO David Smart. “We are doing everything we can to restore service as soon as possible.”
WKRECC says it has reports of downed lines in several locations, and anyone who sees downed lines should assume they are live and stay far away.

There are about 680 customers still without power as of early this morning.
