Reckless driver complaint leads to drug arrest for two Benton teens

Police anticipate additional charges against Lovett and Schecter.

PADUCAH – On Thursday, November 11, McCracken County Deputies responded to the Southland Baptist Temple in response to a complaint of a reckless driver in the parking lot.

Prior to arrival, Captain Matt Carter and Sgt. Deputy Jailer Steven Carter observed a blue Chevy truck driving recklessly on Temple Drive. Sgt. Carter stated he observed the truck drive towards the church and cut through a flooded ditch, throwing mud onto Sgt. Carter’s vehicle. Sgt. Carter stated that the truck continued cutting “donuts” in the parking lot adjacent to the church. Once the truck stopped, both Sgt. Carter and Captain Carter were able to speak with the occupants.
