The Benton City Council will meet again on Monday, September 21st at 6:00 to determine planning and zoning issues with the ordinance.

Calvert City voted 6-0 in their September 2nd meeting to allow Sunday sales by the drink as well as package store sales on Sunday in their first reading of the ordinance between the hours of 6:00 am to 12 midnight, keeping the hours the same as Monday through Saturday sales. Calvert City Council met last night and passed their final ordinance by a 6-0 vote.

The City of Hardin passed their ABC Ordinance on Monday and by statute will not have by the drink or package sales on Sunday. Due to their city status, cannot impose regulatory license fees and will have different licenses they can issue, like the cities of Benton and Calvert City.

The Marshall County Fiscal Court will hold their final reading on Friday, September 25th at 9:30 am. Currently alcohol sales on Sunday by the drink is in the ordinance between 1:00 to 12 midnight, but not retail package sales.
