Because Of Jesus

paulaharringtonI saw a post that said God doesn’t want us to be happy. He wants us to be holy. True but there’s so much more to the story. When we become a Christian God makes joy available. Joy is different than happiness. Joy is eternal & expensive. Happiness is fleeting & cheap.
Joy says, because of Jesus, I am chosen, holy & dearly loved.
Joy says, because of Jesus, I matter.
Joy says, because of Jesus, I am not alone.
Joy says, because of Jesus, I can make a difference.
Joy says, because of Jesus, the light will always drive away the darkness.
Joy says, because of Jesus, there is a plan for my life.
Joy says, because of Jesus, this dark, dangerous world is not my home.
Joy says, because of Jesus, my weakness, brokenness & depression don’t define who I am.
Joy says, because of Jesus, I will survive anything I go through.
Joy says, because of Jesus, I am free.
So yes, God cares how you feel. He wants you, because of Jesus, to be joyful. Choose to be. Refuse to let this world dictate how you will act and react. Speak words of joy into any and every situation. Make a difference in the lives of those you encounter. Show them Jesus.
