jmBENTON – John Mikulich, appeared in court on Monday where he plead ‘Not Guilty’ to charges of wanton murder. Mikulich was originally charged with wanton endangerment after his six month-old infant son was discovered unresponsive in a bath tub, however, after the child succumbed to his injuries, a grand jury had to decide if harsher penalties should apply.

Late last month, the grand jury moved to indict Mikulich on the charge of wanton murder which could carry a possible life sentence. He is set to appear in court again for a status hearing on July 6.
