BENTON – A Benton man was arrested today after being charged with multiple counts of portraying a sexual performance by a minor. According to police reports, evidence was discovered during a drug investigation launched by Narcotics Sergeant Kevin Mighell and Probation and Parole in April leading to the start of a new investigation.
Marshall County Lieutenant Detective Matt Hilbrecht executed an arrest warrant this morning charging Chris A. Sharp with five counts of possession of matter portraying a sexual performance by a minor. The investigation included the execution of two search warrants and is still ongoing. Additional charges are pending a forensic examination of the defendant’s home computer.
