Sheriff’s Office seeking identity of several individuals who broke into local residence, fled scene on foot

sheriffBENTON – The Marshall County Sheriff’s Office is seeking information into the identity of three unknown suspects following an incident that occurred on Wednesday. According to police reports, Deputy Dennis Lewis was dispatched to Oak Grove Church Rd. after a homeowner reports he discovered two males and a female had broken in and were still inside the residence.

The homeowner chased the subjects outside and to a vehicle that was parked at the rear of the residence. The homeowner tried to stop the subjects as they entered the vehicle, however they were still able to attempt to flee.

While attempting to drive away from the scene, the vehicle became stuck in the yard, prompting the suspects to flee on foot. The vehicle was towed and is currently being held pending the results of the investigation.

Anyone with any information on the identity of the subjects involved should call Central Dispatch at 270-527-1333. Officers from the Benton Police Department and Kentucky State Police also assisted in the search for the suspects.
