Summer Gardening Class offered by Marshall County Cooperative Extension Service begins April 16

gardeningMarshall County Cooperative Extension Service will be having a Summer Gardening Class entitled Gardening 101, at the Extension office. The class will taught by Nikki Bell, Agriculture and Natural Resources Agent, along with The Marshall County Master Gardeners. The class will kick off on April 16th at 5:30pm.

The class will meet throughout the summer growing season to talk about hot topics like: planning your garden, container gardening, weed control, pests, soil preparation, starting seed, choosing transplant, cold boxes, and much much more. Other class dates are to be determined. The participants will learn hands on, indoors and outdoors in the offices new demonstration garden.

There will be giveaways throughout the course and the participants can take home fresh produce from the garden. Any leftover veggies from the project will be donated locally.
