Ronald W. Freeman, 79, of Symsonia, Kentucky, passed away peacefully in his sleep on May 19, 2022, at 7:20 p.m. at his residence.
Born in Flint, Michigan, to the late Leslie H. Freeman, Sr. and the late Edith P. (Butler) Freeman, Mr. Freeman served as an NCO in the Kentucky Armory National Guard, and his profession was overhead crane operator at the ICG Railroad.
Surviving are his children Matt and Amy Freeman, three grand-children, one great-grandson, and his younger sister. He was preceded in death by his mother, father, and elder brother.
A small, private ceremony will be held for his closest family members and his remains will be sprinkled on the farmstead where he lived most his life and treasured.
Ronnie enjoyed gardening, genealogy, and had a tremendous love for all animals. Memorial contributions may be sent to The McGangsters (an organization that helps stray cats) c/o Lone Oak Animal Clinic 125 Augustus Ave. Paducah, Ky. 42003 in his name.
