Ava “Ann” Lawson, 91

Ava “Ann” Lawson, 91, formerly of Symsonia, Kentucky passed away on Saturday, March 5, 2022 at Diversicare Nursing Facility in Martin, Tennessee.

Born August 17, 1930 in Palmersville, Tennessee to the late Vince and Luna Prince.  Ms. Lawson worked as a seamstress for Merit Clothing Company and Normandy Manufacturing.  She loved working in her flower gardens, sewing and reading.

She is survived by one niece, Jeanette Scott (Kennith) of Greenfield, Tennessee; a foster daughter, Kelm Burchard (Joey) of Paducah, Kentucky; and a foster granddaughter, Korrina Davidson, five nieces and four nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Edd (Old Man) Lawson; her son, Dale Lawson; an infant daughter, Sherry Lawson; and three sisters, Urma Rafferty, Ima Culver and Pearl Rogers.

A graveside service will be held at 2:00 PM on Wednesday, March 9, 2022 at Clarks River Cemetery in Symsonia with Bro. Mike Farmer officiating.

Visitation will be held from 11:00 AM until 1:00 PM on Wednesday, March 9, 2022 at Filbeck-Cann Funeral Home of Milner & Orr.
