Marie Phillips, 88, of Smithland passed away Sunday, February 6, 2022, at Calvert City Convalescent Center. Marie was a member of Southland Baptist Temple and worked in the nursery. She was born to the late Willie L. and Mary Ellen Denton.
Mrs. Phillips is survived by four daughters, Wanda Paris (JR) of Smithland, Ky, Sheila Goodaker (Darryl) of Smithland, KY, Connie Monroe (Jimmy) of Smithland, KY, and Cindy Hodge of Smithland, KY; one brother, Raymond Denton (Peggy) of Paris, TN; seven grandchildren; sixteen great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Alfred “Red” Phillips; one brother, Leonard Denton; and one sister, Mary Louise Phillips.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, February 8, 2022, at 6:00 PM at Keeling and Goodman Funeral Home in Paducah with Bro. Andrew Sexton officiating. Burial will be held Wednesday, February 9, 2022, at 11:00 AM at Oak Grove Cemetery in Ledbetter.
Visitation will be Tuesday, February 8, 2022, from 5:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the funeral home.
