Benton, KY – The Marshall County Arts Commission is pleased to announce the hiring of Ruth Humphries Morris as Executive Director of the Marshall County Children’s Arts Center. Morris brings to us a wealth of experience in the arts, as well as a history of non-profit and business experience.
“I’m super excited for this opportunity to work with the commission and to take the strong foundation already set forth by the board to the next level,” said Morris. She also stated that she will be working closely with the board over the next weeks to launch programming for the 2022 season.

Erin Powell, board president added, “We’re grateful to have someone of Ruth’s caliber to join us.” Powell stated that it has been a long-term goal of the commission to hire an executive director. “We can’t wait to see all the activity buzzing around here soon!”
The mission of the Marshall County Arts Commission is to develop an appreciation in the community for the cultural heritage of the arts; to offer support, encouragement and opportunities to residents involved in the performing and visual arts; and to educate the community in the arts through a balanced exposure to all arts disciplines.
