Shirley Dublin Jones, age 82, of Hardin, Kentucky, formerly of Clinton, Kentucky, passed away on Thursday, January 6, 2022 at her home.
Mrs. Jones was born on February 25, 1939 to the late Clarence and Etta Dublin. She was a former employee of the Jiffy Mart in Clinton and member of Columbus Baptist Church. Shirley loved crossword puzzles, word search and the Andy Griffith show but her greatest love was spending time with her family and her dog Mollie that she loved very much.
Shirley will be remembered for her big heart, her loving nature and her compassionate spirit. She loved helping others and was a wonderful mother, grandmother and great grandmother. Her family will remember her love for cooking, especially her tacos and banana pudding.
Shirley is survived by her daughter, Teresa Nelson and husband, Greg of Hardin; two grandchildren, Christina True and husband, Darin and Ryan Pillow and wife, Shelby; and six great-grandchildren, Layne True, Lindi True, Logan True, Noah Pillow, Laynee Duff and Jaysee Duff.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 47 years, Alben Barkley Jones; two sisters, Bertha Coates and Mary Lee Riley; one brother, Thomas Edward Dublin; and her parents.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm on Sunday, January 9, 2022 at Milner & Orr Funeral Home of Arlington with Bro. David Dixon officiating. Burial will follow at Arlington Cemetery.
Visitation will be held from 12:00 pm until the 2:00 pm service time on Sunday, January 9, 2022 at Milner & Orr Funeral Home of Arlington.
