Lucille Young, 90, of Benton, formerly of Kuttawa, passed away on Tuesday, November 16, 2021 at Lake Way Nursing & Rehabilitation Center in Benton.
Lucille was born in Wayne County, Michigan on April 27, 1931 to the late Robert and Lillie Powell. She enjoyed spending time with her family, sewing, going to flea markets and traveling. Lucille was a member of Lake City Baptist Church.
She is survived by her son, Stevie Ford and wife, Debbie of Benton; daughter-in-law, Kathy Ford of Benton; step-daughter, Regina Young Asher and husband, Ronnie of Marion, KY; step-son, Keith Young and wife, Teresa of Kuttawa; one sister, Willie Mae Powell Taylor of Benton; six grandchildren, Kandi Ford Kelso (Justin) of Murray, Craig Ford (Nicole) of Benton, Chad Ford (Lisa) of Benton, Jill Ford Arrachaga of Benton, Jennifer Asher Wright (David) of Sturgis, Ryan Young of Marion; twelve great-grandchildren and three great, great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 44 years, Ralph D. Young; son, Joe Alan Ford; four sisters, Dorothy Powell Holland, Mildred Powell Parrott, Julia Powell Ross, Janice Powell Duncan; seven brothers, William Powell, Junior Powell, Alton Powell, Raymond Powell, Cecil Powell, Everett Powell and Billy Ray Powell; and her parents.
A graveside service for Lucille will be held at 11:00 AM on Thursday, November 18, 2021 at Rolling Hills Cemetery in Eddyville
with Bro. Kendrick Lewis officiating.
Visitation will be held from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM on Wednesday, November 17, 2021 at Filbeck and Cann Funeral Home of Milner & Orr.
