Mrs. Janice Wilkinson, 84, of Hazel, passed away on Monday, August 23, 2021 at Murray Calloway County Hospital.
Mrs. Wilkinson was born on June 10, 1937 in Puryear, Tennessee to the late Hobert and Pearl Paschall Miller. Janice was a friend to many. She served her community of Hazel as a City Clerk for over 15 years and was the first president of the Hazel Woman’s Club, a title she held dear. She and her husband of almost 66 years, Mr. Harold Wilkinson, were members of Hazel Baptist Church.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Hal Miller.
Those she lovingly leaves behind include her husband, Harold Wilkinson of Hazel; a son, Nickie Wilkinson and wife Virginia Phifer of Brookfield, Connecticut; three grandchildren, Justine Phifer of New York City, Lane Wilkinson of Lexington, KY, Taylor Hicks and husband Jake of Lexington, KY as well as one great great grandchild, Jackson Hicks of Lexington, KY.
A memorial service and visitation at Hazel Baptist Church is being planned and will be announced soon. The family requests that masks be worn.
