Dennis Wayne Wheatley Sr., 70, of West Paducah, Kentucky, passed away on Monday, August 9, 2021 at Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville, Tennessee.
Mr. Wheatley was a member of Free Spirit Biker Church and he was retired from Plumber & Steamfitters Local Union 184. Dennis was a lifetime member of Harley-Davidson H.O.G. Chapter and loved his Harley’s. He was an avid UK fan and Chicago Cubs fan.
Dennis is survived by his wife of 51 years, Charlotte Ransom Wheatley; a daughter, Johnna Wheatley Day and husband, Charles Jr. of Paducah; a son, Dennis Wheatley Jr. of Paducah; three grandchildren, Seth Day, Nicole Day and Charles Day III all of Paducah; four great-grandchildren, Hadley, Parker, Zoe and Jaxon; two brothers, Thomas Wheatley (Sharon) of Chattanooga, Tennessee and Garry Wheatley (Pam) of Paducah; several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by a sister, Brenda Boren. His parents were John B. Wheatley and Mary Owsley King.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, August 13, 2021 at Milner & Orr Funeral Home of Paducah with Pastor Dennis Lawrence officiating. Burial will follow at Oak Grove Cemetery in Ledbetter, Kentucky.
Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, August 12, 2021 at Milner & Orr Funeral Home of Paducah.
