Lou Anna Beyer Thomas, age 92, of Cordova, TN and a native of Paducah, KY passed away at 7:00 p.m. Friday, July 30, 2021 at Baptist East Memorial Hospital in Memphis, TN. Lou Anna was a lifelong Lutheran. She was originally a member of St. Matthew Lutheran Church in Paducah in her early years. She was a 1946 graduate of Lone Oak High School where she was basketball queen her senior year. Lou Anna was a homemaker and loved “Rambo” her dog, who was always at her side. She was an avid lover of birds and nature.
Survivors include two sons, Mark Thomas and Karl Thomas both of Cordova, TN; one grandson, Quinton Thomas; several nieces , nephews and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Eugene Francis Thomas; parents, Henry Beyer and Alice Faith Beyer; two sisters, Helen Smithson and Orene Crews.
Graveside services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Friday, August 6, 2021 at the Beyer Cemetery on South Friendship Road in Lone Oak. Visitation will be held Friday, from 11:00 a.m. until 12:30 p.m. at the Lone Oak Chapel Milner & Orr Funeral Home.
