Jerry Kinney, age 80 of Benton, KY, passed away Friday, July 9, 2021 at the Calvert City Convalescent Center. He was retired from Johns Dental Laboratories in Terre Haute, Indiana. He worked as a Dental Lab Technician, District Sales, and Meeting Coordination.
He was a member of Mt. Carmel United Methodist Church and was a member of the Myasthenia Gravis Foundation of America. He participated in group support meetings and fundraising walks.
Born January 10, 1941 in West Frankfort, IL, he was the son of the late Herman Kinney, and the late Juanita (Murphy) Kinney.
He is survived by his wife of 8 years, Sue Orlowski of Benton, KY, Daughters, Jamie Doty, husband David of Madisonville, TN, Shelley Kinney of Clovis, CA, stepson, Ryan French, wife Kate of Lafayette, IN, sister, Joan (Kinney) Harris of Gilbertsville, KY, Brother John Kinney of Napierville, IL, 6 grandchildren, and 8 great grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his parents, brother, Richard Kinney, infant son, Michael Kinney,
wife Vicky Kinney, and stepdaughter, Andrea Mitchell.
Funeral services will be held at 12:00 PM Tuesday, July 13, 2021 in the chapel of the Collier Funeral Home in Benton, KY. Bill Lawson and Jim Capps will officiate with burial to follow at 3:00 PM at the Rosehill Cemetery in Marion, IL. Visitation will be held from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM Tuesday, July 13, 2021 at the Collier Funeral Home in Benton, KY.
