Irene Waltmon Wooldriege, 98

Irene Waltmon Wooldriege, 98, of Paducah, passed away on Wednesday, April 21, 2021, surrounded by her loved ones at her residence.

Irene was born March 23, 1923 in Paducah to the late Charlie and Neppie Myers Bell. She was a member of Arcadia Methodist Church for almost 50 years where she was very active with missions, especially the shut-ins and United Women’s Missions. She volunteered at Parkview for several years and enjoyed making homemade bread that she shared with everyone. She was not only a granny to her own grandchildren but to everyone that knew her.

Irene is survived by her daughter, Angie McWaters Baker (Larry) of Paducah; seven grandchildren, Terri Wehmeyer Gentry (Tim), Chad Carroll, Michael McWaters (JR), Jeremy Carroll, Wendy Miller, Drew Carroll, Misty Carroll; one niece, Jackie Reed along with several great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by two daughters, Anna Wooldriege and Lydia Carroll; one sister, Clara Middleton; two brothers, Melvin Waltmon and Charlie Waltmon; one nephew, David Waltmon, and her parents.

A graveside service will be held on Sunday, April 25, 2021 at 3:00 p.m. at Mt. Kenton Cemetery with Kevin Paschall officiating.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, April 25, 2021 from 1:00 p.m. until 2:30 p.m. at Milner & Orr Funeral Home of Paducah.
