CFS six game winning streak ends at Caldwell County

Christian Fellowship’s six game winning streak came to an end with Monday’s 77-70 loss to Caldwell County. They followed that up with another tough 82-55 loss to Graves County on Tuesday and are now 16-7 heading into their final five games of the season.

Monday in Princeton after falling behind by 16 points at halftime, the Eagles went on to out-score Caldwell County 23-15 in the third quarter to cut the Tigers lead down to eight points. CFS out-scored them by one in the final frame before falling by seven.

Andrew Allen led the Eagles with 23 points that included going 6/6 at the free throw line. Andrew Dunning scored 17 and led the Eagles with three 3-pointers. Tripp Branch had seven 3-pointers for Caldwell County and led them in scoring with 24 points.

Tuesday in their loss at home to Graves County, CFS was led in scoring by Dunning with 18 and Allen with 17. John Ben Brown led Graves County with 22 points.

Graves County led by 17 at halftime at 45-28 and extended their lead by 10 points in the second half to finish off the 82-55 win.

CFS has five games left this season starting with a home game against Ballard Memorial (2-21) on Friday and they will finish the week at Hickman County (9-12) on Saturday. Next week on March 8 they will play at CCA (5-17), get another shot at Graves County (14-4) on March 9 and finish up at home on March 11 against Hopkins County Central.
