MCHD pays respect in honor of the passing of Harold Beck

The Marshall County Health Department pays respect in honor of the passing of Harold Beck. Harold served his community in numerous ways to include as a long standing member of the Marshall County Health Department Board of Health. He faithfully attended meetings of the board over the years as he sought to help improve the lives of the citizens of the community he loved.

He was instrumental in helping the health department move to the new facility in 2014, partner with UK Dentistry, partner with the Merryman House, relocate the Environmental Lab to the main facility, complete the national accreditation process, and implement an interactive community health assessment and community health improvement plan.

Billy Pitts, Public Health Director says “Harold’s selfless dedication made this health department and community a better place. He will always be remembered for his service and the many great things he did for our community”.

Dr. Joe Ellis, Board Chairman says “Harold Beck served our community for many decades as a dedicated healthcare provider in Pharmacy. Harold was an innovator in his profession as he was always looking for different ways to meet the health care needs of their patients. Harold was a long serving member of the Marshall County Board of Health and was always seeking ways to promote serving the health care needs of all the citizens of Marshall County. His service to our community will be greatly missed”.
