Jerome “Jerry” N. Boggess, 71 of Metropolis, IL passed away at 9:38 PM on January 23, 2021 at the Ray & Kay Eckstein Hospice Care Center in Paducah.
He was a member of Bellview Baptist Church in Paducah where he was active in the Youth & Children’s ministries. He was retired from Electric Energy Inc.
He is survived by his wife, Paula Boggess of Metropolis, IL; five children, Jana (David) Ulderich of Holladay, TN, James (Amy) Boggess of Lebanon, TN, Jason Boggess Fisher (Joy) of Metropolis, Il, Melissa Boggess of Metropolis, IL and stepson David (Shawna) Herron of Metropolis, IL; thirteen grandchildren, Sarah (Matt) Williams of Jackson, TN, Emma Ulderich of Holladay, TN, Jonah (Allison) Boggess of Hendersonville, TN, Shannon Boggess of Joelton, TN, Nathaniel Boggess of Lebanon, TN, Samuel Boggess of Lebanon, TN, Seth Light of Metropolis, IL, Quinton Fisher of Metropolis, IL, Molly Fisher of Metropolis, Il, Brooke Roland of Wildwood, FL, Eli Thompson, Taylor Herron of Metropolis, IL and Tyler Herron of Metropolis, IL; one great grandchild, Hunter Herron of Metropolis, IL; three siblings, Randall (Linda) Boggess of Paducah, KY, Debbie Boggess Dodds of Benton, KY and Belinda Boggess (Rick) Gibson of Benton, KY; several nieces and nephews.
Preceded in death by his parents, Eugene L. and Geneva Osbron Boggess.
Funeral services will be at 12:00 PM Saturday, January 30, 2021 at Bellview Baptist Church in Paducah with Rev. Mike Nolen officiating. Burial will follow at Woodlawn Memorial Gardens in Paducah.
