Pastor Willis Eugene “Gene” Prince, Sr., 80 of Gilbertsville, KY passed away Friday, January 8, 2021, at Baptist Health in Paducah, KY.
Born Tuesday, March 5, 1940 in Graves Co., KY, he was the son of the late Willie Dee Prince and the late Mary Ellen (Davis) Prince. He was the Sr. Pastor of Doors of Mercy Church and Mercy Missions in Marshall Co. KY, he was also a commercial fisherman.
Surviving are his wife of 42 years, Pastor Charlotte A. (Duckett) Prince of Gilbertsville, KY; sons, Tony Wayne Prince of Gilbertsville, KY, Willis Eugene Prince, Jr. of O Fallon, IL, Zachery “Zack” Prince of Hickory, KY and Kevin Morgan of CA ; daughter, Sebby Prince of Mayfield, KY; brother, Robbie Dale Prince of Troy, IL; grandchildren, Tyler Wayne Prince, Blake Prince, Josiah Prince, Trinity Prince, Chase Prince, Chelsea Prince, Andrew Prince and Sean Morgan. Also surviving are 2 great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents and grandson, Ryan Prince.
Graveside funeral services will be held Sunday, January 10, 2021 at 2:00 p.m. at Fooks Cemetery, Benton, KY. Pastor Charlotte A. Prince will officiate. Interment will follow the service.
No public visitation is scheduled.
