Mr. Richard A. Darge, Sr., age 71, of Mayfield passed away on Sunday, December 13, 2020 at his residence.
He was of the Catholic Faith, a member of the International Association of Fire Fighters Local 3074 and a retired firefighter / EMT for the Village of Alsip, IL Fire Department.
Mr. Darge is survived by his wife, Debra Darge; four sons, Eric (Julie) Darge of Frankfort, KY, Matthew (Samantha) Darge of Kevil, KY, Anthony Darge of Chicago, IL and Richard Darge, Jr. of California; one sister, Virginia Neumann of Sauk Village, IL; five grandchildren, Krystal Meloy, Anthony Darge, Jr., Katelyn Darge, Cecilia Darge and Colton James; and one great grandchild.
He was preceded in death by five sisters, Frances Alexander, Betty Kniesly, Agness Keiffer, Cecilia Kwiakowski and Barbara Klinkhammer; two brothers, Peter Darge and Andrew Darge; and his parents, Andrew and Helen Meis Darge.
Funeral services for Mr. Richard A. Darge, Sr. will be 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, December 17, 2020 at Byrn Funeral Home in Mayfield, KY. Rev. Bill Roberts will officiate.
Interment will follow at Maplewood Cemetery.
Visitation will be 12:00 – 2:00 p.m. on Thursday at the funeral home.
